We offer Course Review and Training Evaluation – what’s the difference between them?
Simply put, with a Course Review, we look at your materials and provide recommendations.
With a Training Evaluation we attend the course like a participant. But, we attend attend one of two different ways:
LETnEC has been evaluating and reviewing training for decades for the military, corporate, and law enforcement worlds. More recently, LETnEC has been evaluating and reviewing courseware for the IADLEST National Certification Program (NCP) which makes it possible for a course to be accepted by 36 state POSTs.
However, training needs review to make sure that not only will it be accepted by a POST, but also that it meets certain criteria for being defensible, like whether it complies with current case law. Also, training needs to be reviewed for meeting current learning standards and science. Finding a dependable third-party objective review of training is difficult, so we are now offering this service to law enforcement instructors and training organizations.
Whether you are preparing your course for IADLEST certification or for your own professional review, we will review your course materials and provide recommendations, if any are needed. With the increasing competition within the training industry, and increased litigation, making sure your materials meet the highest standards can provide an edge.
While we review training to meet IADLEST standards, which are the standards set by many state POSTs, we go further to review at a higher standard and provide actionable recommendations and identify issues you may want to address. You will receive a printed report and a consultation as part of the fee.
A course review entails:
– review of all course materials for meeting current learning and case law standards
– a written report of issues found and recommendations
– one-on-one consultation and review of the report
– a second review of any changes made
– evaluation for potential submission to IADLEST for certification
– complete confidentiality
– a nifty badge to add to your course materials to show it has been reviewed by an independent organization
– a link to a website of all courses reviewed

Once you complete payment, you will receive an email for where to send your course materials or to provide a link where we will be able to access them. If you would like to discuss your materials before we start reviewing, please use the “Schedule” button to select a time. We will provide a cursory review of the materials but will not perform a full review until we have a chance to talk.
